How do I know if CNA is right for me?  To be a CNA you need to enjoy working with people. Having good communication skills, compassion, respect, and caring are central to the CNA role.                                                                                                            What are employer requirements for CNA jobs?  The first and most important requirement for obtaining employment as a certified nurse aide is showing proof of certification in the state where you seek employment. As a nurse aide your name needs to appear on the state Nurse Aide Registry. Employers also request that you are able to read, write, and speak English as well as follow given instructions and facility protocols.                                                                                                                                                                           What will I learn in a CNA course?  In a typically nurse aide class you will learn theoretical concepts and practical skills. Classroom instruction will focus on grasping theory while laboratory and clinical practice will give you the hands-on experience.                                                                                                                                                                                   What do I need in order to enroll in a CNA course?  We do not require you to have a High School Diploma or GED. In order to be admitted into the nurse aide program you must be able to speak, read, and write in English.  A valid Social Security Card, Drivers License, State ID is required for CNA certification. Must pass background check, finger print, and a current TB.

PHLEBOTOMY CLASS IS 64 HOURS AND $600

CLASS SCHEDULE COMING SOON!  CLASSES TO START IN APRIL!

Phlebotomy is the act of drawing blood. It can be achieved by either skin puncture, such as a finger stick, or by venipuncture which is inserting a needle into a vein. The Phlebotomist has a crucial role in the well being of their patients.

Our Phlebotomy program is divided into 2 sections, classroom lecture and laboratory time followed by a clinical practice. The student will become knowledgable in the theory, history, and instruction on how to safely perform venipunctures. In the laboratory setting students will be educated on all equipment found at the facility. When the student is ready and comfortable with the technique of drawing blood they will assist in actual patient testing! This is achieved during an externship.
